Individual Therapy
My goal in treatment is to help individuals and couples find more effective ways to live healthier, happier, and more successful lives. I specialize in helping adult survivors of complex trauma (C-PTSD) including early attachment wounds, parentification, and having parents that struggle with mental health. I treat victims of childhood abuse who have transitioned into parenthood themselves and are struggling with learning how to cope with their own childhood trauma. Among my specialties is the treatment of anxiety, depression, and personality disorders.
I take several theoretical approaches in therapy depending on the individual needs of the client. I mostly practice Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which is best in helping someone make positive emotional and behavioral changes. I also incorporate mindfulness, exposure, and/or distress tolerance (among other skills and techniques) into treatment.
Couples Therapy
Are you conflicted with feelings of betrayal within your marriage or intimate relationship? In a respectful, neutral, and judgement-free space, you and your partner can find support and empowerment to make the necessary changes within yourselves that can affect the wellbeing of your relationship. Getting the appropriate guidance within a therapeutic setting can help you and your partner have a fulfilling partnership and choose the best course of action for yourselves. Together we will work towards yours and your partner’s goals by establishing skills needed to bring stability and balance back into your life and relationship.
Crime Victim’s Compensation (CVC)
I work with adults who have been approved by the Crime Victim Compensation (CVC) program in the State of Texas.
